Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen (Novena Square 2) - Theatrical Volcano Ramen

Tonlotsu Kazan Ramen has been voted as one of the best ramen in Singapore by well-known food blogger ladyironchef, which is reason enough to make me want to try it out.

This is the correct way of cooking the delicious kazan ramen (taken from their website).

I was recommended Kazan Kaisen-Shio where specially blended salt paste is added to the tonkotsu broth, giving the broth a lighter taste. There are plenty of vegetables such as cabbage, carrots leeks and bean sprouts. My only complain is that the noodles are slightly soggy, but otherwise this ramen is definitely the best thing to have on a cold and rainy day because the soup is kept warm throughout the meal. I am supposed to add rice to the leftover soup to make zousui (soupy rice) but I think the waitress forgot to give me my rice.

Besides Kazan Kaisen-Shio, there is also other options to choose from: Kazan Curry, Kazan Shoyu, Kazan Karamiso and Hinomaru Tomato Kazen.

I can't conclude that Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen is one of the best ramen in Singapore because I have not tried all the different ramens in Singapore, but the theatrical experience of this ramen is something not to be missed.
