Ramen Keisuki Tonkotsu King Matsuri - Keisuki Challenge

Fifth stop, Ramen Keisuki Tonkotsu King Matsuri. 

Here we are!

I ordered Tonkotsu Ramen "Yukimatsuri". The broth is tonkotsu with miso- it is too complicated for my taste. The pork chasyu is dry and hard unlike the ones I had at Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King and Ramen Keisuke Tori King. The special thing about this ramen is the addition of cheese powder, but the cheese powder is either of not good quality or they used the wrong type of cheese because I don't taste much difference in the broth with and without the cheese powder. Yaki Matsuri (Snow Festival) is held every in February in Sapporo, capital of Hokkaido. The cheese powder is added in reminiscent of the fluffy Hokkaido winter snow, but it did nothing to enhance the taste of the broth.

The noodles used here are the thin ones. The noodles are cooked and has a good bite to it.

There are quite a few interesting ramens here, I think I will come back another 3 more times to try them.

  2. Cheese in Ramen? First time I heard of that, sounds kinda strange. I suppose it could work though if it was the right quality/type, as you said. I'd give it a try :)
