Aquamarine

Having Muslim colleagues definitely has its perks, such as having our annual Christmas dinner at Aquamarine. There are not many halal buffets in Singapore, Aquamarine is a relatively new addition to the scene.

Cooked Food Station features Fresh Tiger Prawn Infused Rich Herbal Soup and Sauteed Clams with Tomato Basil Sauce.

Bread Station has a nice selection of freshly-baked pastries.

Cheese Station has a good selection of cheese, from well-known Parmesan Cheese to the more rare ones such as Port Salut.

Side Dish Station features an amazing array of 10 side dishes.

You can cook your own noodles at the DIY Noodles Bar.

If you prefer to make your own pasta, you can do so at the DIY Pasta Station.

You can come up with your own salad creation at the DIY Salad Station.

Fruits Station features 5 fresh fruit salads that are fresh and vibrant.

You can get plates of cut-on-the-spot salmon/tuna sashimi, tempura, udon and soba at the Japanese Station.

There are only two choices at the Pasta Station.

There are six pre-mixed salads at the Salads Station, from the classic Potato Salad to the more adventurous Ocean Fresh Prawn Mocktail with Tobiko Mayo.

Seafood Station spots a magnificent display of seafood, ranging from Alaska snow crab, oysters, clams, mussels and many more.

Doesn't the Desserts Station look beautiful?

Don't the Log Cakes looked picture-perfect?

I am surprised that there is even Durian Pengat and I must say, it is not bad at all!

There is a dazzling array of sauces to go with the Yogurt Ice-Cream (which I forgot to take a picture of).

I am surprised at the good spread of food, the high quality of food, the attentiveness of the staff, the cosy ambience and the overall comfort of the place. Pardon me for not having a poor impression of halal buffets after a less-than-average experience at 21 on Rajah, but Aquamarine has given me some much-needed confidence. The big pice-tag of the buffet might be a deterrent, but I assure Muslim friends that Aquamarine is worth saving up for.
